Hoosiers no more

Last weekend we finally broke down, shipped the kids off to the grandparents, and landscaped our super hoosier front lawn. We had pulled everything out of there last year as everything that was in there was overgrown and unattractive. It took us a year to find the time and energy to go pick out some new plants, clean up the area, plant them and mulch over it. I am really proud of our effort and I think our finished product is beautiful!

Our new tree. A Japanese maple.

A "low and behold" butterfly bush (we have two) and a knock out rose bush.

Two Peonies, St. John's wort and the other butterfly bush. Day lilies are in the rear, far left.
